In the islands of the Red Sea, pro riders Rita Arnaus and Joss Pfyffer hosted kitesurfers from fourteen countries in the dreamy conditions of Egypt.
But that isn't what made it special. It was the mix of personalities, languages, humour and unspoken respect. The shared obsession that makes strangers feel like family after seven days.

Doubt is prevalent for women and girls in a male-dominated sport. We have been approached by many: “Isn't that hard?” “I don't think I'd be strong enough.” “It looks too intimidating.” The goal was to show the community, the stoke and the empowerment, with a bit of local Charleston charm.
Finalist at the Wild Wind Film Fest and an official selection at the Carolina Surf Film Festival. Wind Bound 2 is next.
